Albert Einstein is attributed with saying, “Once we stop learning, we start dying.” Although not a Christian source of wisdom, it is wisdom none-the-less and applicable to the spiritual life as well. Each one of us as a follower of Jesus Christ has room to learn and grow in discipleship. We are not saints yet. Adult Faith Formation provides opportunities to grow intellectually in what God has revealed to us, so that we can respond with truth in love to the world. It also offers opportunities to discern more clearly what God is calling each us to do in His vineyard and helps equip us to be instruments of love in a world so desperate to know Jesus’ love and care. Come have your soul be fed, so that you may be sent out to renew the world.

Do you love Jesus? Do you cherish the Church He established? Don’t you want everyone you know to love Him as you do? If you know someone who has shown any degree of curiosity about Jesus and/or His Church, please consider inviting them to get to know Him better. Talk with Jona in the parish office to learn more about this process and how you can get involved (763.757.6910 or firstname.lastname@example.org).

Have you ever asked the Lord, “What in the world do you want me to do?” It is likely He is already indicating it to you through spiritual gifts He has already given to you, but you may need assistance to clarify what these gifts are. The Called & Gifted™ Discernment Process, is a three-part exercise used by over 75,000 lay, ordained, and religious Catholics around the world. It contains three stages, including the Called and Gifted Workshop, an invaluable one-hour gifts interview, and opportunities for follow-up small group discernment. There will be two workshops offered this year here at the Church of Saint Paul. The first one was October 28-29, 2016 and the second one was February 24-25, 2017.
Please check back for any other 2017 dates.
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF ALPHA?
Everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share from their point of view. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith, typically run over ten weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.
For more information on the next session, contact Jona in the parish office at 763.757.6910 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
This program offers organized courses for people interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. It serves as an introduction to the Catholic faith for those wanting to learn more, those who have been away from the church, or those wanting to be able to better explain their faith to others. It is an intensive 7-8 week course, following the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It is not necessary to be a member of the Church of Saint Paul to take this course. Offered each year; call the parish office to find out when the next one begins (763.757.6910).
