A Postcard from the WOG
| Hi Everyone! Here I am up north at the Lake! It’s fun to spend lots of time swimming and fishing, but I like to start each morning by reading the Word of God. Today when I read in Sirach 6:15 “There is nothing so precious as a faithful friend,” I thought of all of you! Keep WOGGING friends, The WOG |

Don't Forget to Remember...
Just because it's summer doesn't mean we take a vacation from Family Formation!
Don't forget to work on your summer memory verse now so you can recite it in October.
Kindergarteners and First graders are working on genuflecting while making The Sign of the Cross:
Genuflect with your right knee touching the ground and say, "In the name of the Father (touch your forehead with your right hand), and of the Son (touch your chest), and of the Holy (touch your left shoulder) Spirit (touch your right shoulder). Amen (fold your hands)."
Third through Sixth graders should be memorizing The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit:

Third through Sixth graders should be memorizing The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit:
- Wisdom
- Understanding
- Counsel
- Fortitude (strength)
- Knowledge
- Fear of the Lord (wonder and awe)
- Piety (reverence)
To help you remember these, try coming up with a silly sentence where each of the words starts with the same letter as one of the gifts, like this:
"Under the Couch, you Will Find Five Purple Kittens."
(Understanding, Counsel, Wisdom, Fortitude, Fear of the Lord, Piety, Knowledge)
