Preparing to Receive:
Children in second grade and older attend the normal religious education programs along with a special component that specifically prepares them to receive the Eucharist.
Adults 18 and older participate in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults).
Children typically receive their First Holy Communion at a weekend Mass in the Spring.
Adults usually receive their First Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil.
