The Archdiocesan Center for Mission is partnering with the Maronite Archeparchy of Damascus for an icon and relic tour featuring the recently canonized Martyrs of Damascus.
The tour will be on display in our Adoration Chapel through April 27. This special exhibit includes a first-class relic of the Massabki brothers, three laymen who gave their lives for Christ in 1860 and were canonized in 2024.
At the heart of the display is a beautifully written icon of the Martyrs, inviting us into prayerful solidarity with the suffering Church in Damascus today. More than a visual tribute, the icon serves as a spiritual bridge, uniting us with those who continue to endure persecution for their faith.
Make plans to spend time with the icon and relic in prayer and reflection. It's an opportunity to draw near to Christ through the witness of His martyrs, and to lift up our brothers and sisters in Damascus with compassion and love.
