Hospitality Team

Trivia Hosts and Question Developers
Do you have a lively and inviting personality and enjoy engaging an audience of all ages? Do you enjoy creating trivia questions and quizzing your friends? Then consider serving as a Trivia Host or a Trivia Question Developer. Trivia generally takes place the first full weekend of each month after all three weekend Mass in the Family Activity Center. Trivia hosts are assigned about once a month to host after a Mass of their preference. Trivia Question Developers produce one category with 5 questions per month.

8:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. – one host for either Mass

Welcome Team

Screen Operator
Screen Operators display the appropriate prayers or lyric screens during one Mass on the weekend and other events as needed. Coverage averages once a month. You will be scheduled using Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP); substitute requests can be made and accepted through MSP. Training provided on ProPresenter (display software); musical experience and computer knowledge helpful. Arrive 30 minutes prior to Mass.

Sacristans
A Sacristan has the honor of preparing the sacred vessels and sanctuary for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is an important role to support the clergy and prepare a prayerful environment for all who come to encounter Our Lord in the Eucharist. Responsibilities include setting the sacristy tray, preparing the credence table and altar, preparing the liturgical books, and assisting clergy with other preparations as needed. A Sacristan should be someone who frequently participates in Mass, has a deep love for the liturgy, and is able to arrive 30 minutes early and remain 15 minutes after to clear the sanctuary. Sacristans are needed for weekday Masses, weekend Masses, funerals, and weddings. No experience necessary. Training provided.

Sound Ministry
Do you have production or backstage experience in live theatre or radio? Did you run the sound board for your high school band? Do you love music and find yourself fascinated by how a recording comes together? The role of a Sound Board Operator is instrumental to the experience of the Mass. A good music mix and a clearly heard homily may seem like small things, but they can truly be an instrument of or a barrier to the work of the Holy Spirit! Responsibilities include adjusting levels for in house sound, mixing the live stream, basic knowledge of music equipment and troubleshooting sound issues. We are looking for people with some experience, but training is provided. Ideally this person would be available to serve at both Sunday Masses once a month. We are also looking for Sound Board Operators for weddings and other special events.

One person to do both Masses (8:30 & 10:30) on Sundays for sound as needed.

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry has openings for instrumentalists, particularly those who play bass guitar, drums, and piano. No professional experience is needed but you should be proficient in your instrument and be able to read a lead sheet or chord chart.

Cleaning Ministry
Clean the public interior areas of the church facility weekly (specific time negotiable).
Provide dusting and cleaning to the following church areas:
No restrooms, kitchen, staff offices, or sacristy.

Snow Removal
Remove snow from sidewalks on weekends for Mass and/or Saturday mornings for Family Formation.

Grass Cutting (must be 21 years old)
Cut grass from May through October. Each person cuts one month with a partner usually on Thursdays using zero-turn riding mowers, hand-push mowers, and trimmers. Equipment provided.

Family Formation Distance Education (Outreach to other parishes)
We are looking for 1 or 2 people who can commit to coming on a regular basis (could be weekly, or bi-weekly or even monthly) to work on whatever project we have going at the time. Training provided. Some examples are:
