From Emma's NET Team Supervisor, Jessica Beckman
Emma has been placed on Team 4, whose route has led them to the greater Chicago area as well into Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. Emma quickly found her place within the retreat ministry and with her team. She is particularly fond of sharing her faith through talks, encouraging youth to seek out prayer, sacraments, fellowship, and service. Small groups are a vital part of retreat ministry, and Emma has jumped right into evangelizing and building up the young women to pursue a deeper prayer life and develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit. She is thriving, desiring for herself a deeper and more intimate relationship with the Lord, willing to push herself out of her comfort zone and abandon herself like a child before her Father.
National Evangelization Teams
NET Ministries challenges young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. Every August, 175 young Catholics aged 18-28 leave behind their jobs, school, family, and friends to devote nine months to serving with the National Evangelization Teams (NET).
Divided into 16 teams, they travel across the U.S. for nine months to share the Gospel with young people and their families. Since 1981, NET teams have led over 32,000 retreats and ministered to more than 2 million young Catholics.
