From a young age, Beka loved to go to summer camps and retreats. She pursued a life of leadership and became a counselor and would lead some camps. After graduating high school in 2016, Beka wanted to join NET ministries, an organization that travels the U.S. and puts on retreats for youth. It wasn’t until a trip to the Dominican Republic that she realized it was overseas mission work that she wanted to pursue. She has also gone on a short-term mission trip to Haiti. Her mom heard about FMC from small talk at her local parish and found them online. Wanting to know more about it, Beka joined them for their Come & See in June 2018. Beka will be joining FMC for Intake 2018.
It will be hard for Rebekah to leave her 6 brothers and 5 sisters in Andover, Minnesota, but she knows that she “can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13).
