Are you or someone you know…
Interested in Becoming Catholic?
Baptized Catholic but have not celebrated the Sacrament of the Eucharist (Communion) and/or Confirmation?
Then Becoming Catholic is for you!
Learn more about the Catholic faith through the Becoming Catholic process. Weekly sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and/or Eucharist after a period of formation and discernment. You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights, and your faith story in a warm and accepting setting.
WHAT IS RCIA?
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a technical term for the overarching process and liturgical rites whereby those interested in learning about the Catholic faith come together weekly to learn about the scriptures and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, and at the same time, to discover where God is present in their lives. The process is marked by various milestones known as rites which are often celebrated in the context of a Sunday Mass with the broader Catholic community. A team of people from the Church of Saint Paul guide the entire Becoming Catholic (RCIA) journey. Each member has a sponsor that accompanies them. (The church can provide a sponsor if desired.) The whole Church community prays for and with those who are preparing for reception into the Catholic faith.
Join us as we unpack the ‘plan of sheer goodness’ that the Lord wants to share. Relax in a warm and accepting setting where you can learn the basics, ask your questions, and receive life giving answers that are full of Wisdom and Truth and Beauty!
