As a family friendly, evangelistic parish living out the spirit of Vatican II, our worship includes dynamic preaching and lively music in which all are invited to participate. At Mass you can expect to encounter Christ in an intimate and life-changing way as we offer our lives to God the Father, in unity with the Holy Spirit. You may want to bring a Bible to refer to during the Liturgy of the Word. You will also want to bring an open heart to receive God’s Love and Mercy!

Greeters and Ushers (Welcome Team)
Greeters provide a warm welcome to parishioners and visitors. Volunteer ushers serve by helping to seat parishioners before Mass, to helping direct people for communion, cleaning up after Mass, setting up extra chairs at Masses with increased attendance (such as Easter and Christmas), as well as other various duties. Both of these ministries are open to youth involvement. Serving on the Welcome Team is a great way for new members to meet people. Welcome Team Members arrive 20 minutes before scheduled Mass times and serve approximately once every three weeks.
Music and Sound
Music ministry is a vital part of who we are at the Church of Saint Paul. As music ministers, we seek to lead the congregation in divine worship, turning hearts to God through Spirit-filled music and praise that draws us together with the whole Body of Christ, and brings focus to the Eucharist in a spiritual manner. A meeting with the Director of LIturgy is required before joining. Music Ministry teams practice 1-2 times a month and lead all three Masses once a month. There is also a need for people to help run sound at Mass as well as at other special events. Training provided.
Altar Servers
Young men (ages 11-18) assist the priest and deacon during Mass. Annual training is provided. Usually serve once every two months.
Rosary Leaders
Volunteers in this ministry take turns leading the Rosary prior to Saturday 5:30 p.m. Mass or Sunday 8:30 a.m. Mass in the Adoration Chapel.
Sacristans
Sacristans help to prepare the Lord’s table, vessels, and linens for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on weekends and/or weekdays. Must be Confirmed, a member of the Church of Saint Paul, and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Sacristans serve at a weekend Mass once every 4-5 weeks, or once a week at daily Mass.
Liturgical Movement
Liturgical Movement is open to girls ages 11-16 who wish to participate in some feast day Masses (about 3 times/year) using flags to enhance the Mass experience.
Childcare
Childcare provides a fun, loving, safe, and nurturing atmosphere where lasting concepts and attitudes toward God, Church, family, and the children themselves can begin to develop. Designed for children under age 3, it provides separate, age-appropriate play areas for both crawling babies and walking toddlers. Currently, Childcare is closed during weekend Masses, but it is available for some ministries and events. Completed “Essential 3” safe environment requirements are necessary to volunteer. Contact Jena at jena.kolles@churchofsaintpaul.com for more information.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Distribute Holy Communion at weekend Masses. Volunteers must have been members of the Church of Saint Paul for at least one year, be in good standing with the Catholic Church, and commit to a weekly Holy Hour (Adoration). Ministers serve about once every three weeks.
